A Workshop is a facility aboard the Avenger in XCOM 2. Engineer - GREMLINs as Remote Engineers. Each engineer staffed in this facility opens up two special GREMLINs which can be used to staff engineer positions in adjacent facilities (not diagonally); for this reason, workshops are most useful when built in the middle column of the Avenger, rather than on one of the edges. The 'Long War 2' mod expands on the game's original campaign, with new missions, classes, guns, aliens and more. Not only that, but squads are also more advanced, giving you the option to take out more than one squad on missions! Pavonis has also included new mission scenarios, such as Jailbreak, which comes with the Technical class. Overall, it's a pretty comprehensive mod and makes sweeping changes to the gameplay and mission types.
