Shiny Pokémon (2024)

As explained by shiny collector Donny in Searidge Town, shiny Pokémon typically appear with a 1/3000 rate. This can be increased to a rate of 1/1000 by obtaining the Shiny Charm through the third (and final) Hide-n-Seek challenge.

In the canon games, certain Pokémon are "shiny-locked", forced to be non-shiny when the player encounters them. This is not the case for any Pokémon in Pokémon Infinity.

The starters received in Professor Wormwood's lab have a possibility of being shiny. The Pokémon is generated when the player first interacts with the Poké Ball, and the picture displayed will change if the starter is shiny. Prior to 2.2.2, the Pokémon would not be generated until after the player selected their starter, and so the picture would not change.

Guaranteed Shinies[]

Overworld Encounters[]

  • On Tuesday mornings in the western entry zone in Genisis Forest, a shiny Teddiursa will appear beside a pile logs in the north, provided the player has found 50 or more hidden items.
  • In Echorock Town, throwing Shiny Pokémon (1)99999 into the well for the first time will cause a shiny Meowth to appear. Though the encounter can be repeated, only the first Meowth is guaranteed to be shiny.
  • On Sunday mornings in Echorock Town, a shiny Xatu will appear in the south
  • In Tidecliff Cave, four shiny Lapras will appear in the lake when it is raining outside.
