I have been coming to this place for sometime now. It is very clean and everyone has been very kind and respectful! Shanna (the manager), Aklia and Telisha manage reception and are all nice, kind and professional. Lulu is my wax lady and I honestly love her! She is the sweetest, nonjudgmental, kindest person! She makes waxing bearable (literally the lightest hands ever). Would totally recommend this location!

The rudeness and unprofessionalism by the front desk is ridiculous. There is absolutely no reason for them to hang up on customers and use demeaning tones when it’s over the phone. All because they decided to cancel my appointment without calling me. I would rather travel farther than go here where you have people with nasty attitudes for no clear reason. Do better.

I had an absolutely horrific experience with the staff and manager of this forest hills location. I have been a member with European wax center for over ten years and never in my life have I been so mistreated, disrespected, and verbally assaulted by management. I called on October 28th, 2022 regarding a fraudulent charge to my account for $102. After calling, they told me this was for a wax pass that I signed up for in September– in which I was never even in or at that location. The manager continued to accuse me of lying, and then told me to come in to bring my ID to show proof of my signature. When I got there, she verbally assaulted me to the point I was actually scared she was going to hit me. She then threatened to ban me from every location, all of which I have recorded on my phone. I kindly asked for the district manager’s information since nobody would help me, and the manager continued to scream at me to get out. I plan to sue this location in small claims court, and I will never, EVER return. If you have a card on file, be careful– they are ringing up wax passes under other people’s names and will do NOTHING to help you resolve the issue.

I have reached out to upper management via the EWC contact us option and since I have not received a reply I will share my complaint about the Forest Hills location here. In April 2022 I received a charge to my debit card account without my knowledge and consent. On the date I received the charge, I was at the location for a service and though the manager was present, not a word was said about the charge. I waited a few business days for the charge to fall off as it may have been a mistake, however the charge remained present on my account. I called the location and requested information, however at the time of the call, I did not receive an answer or a call back from the manager. I appropriately disputed the charge with my bank as I did not authorize it.

Not sure if its the front desk who’s nasty or genuinely the management. Been coming here for 2 years loyaly. Today I accidentally booked an apt for 16:15 instead of 15:45. When I arrived at 15:45 I was told in a nasty tone that I couldn’t see the esthetician despite her being free at that time because “we dont do that”. Why she said? Because there was someone booked for 16:00. The service I was planning to get takes 5 minutes and I kindly explained that to the front desk and was answerd in a real rude tone that it wasn’t doable with no logical explanation. Good riddance. Not worth the value when talked down to like that. Fyi in case management sees this, this happened on Jan 8th.

extremely overpriced for bad services. i got an upper lip wax and was charged $40. i’ve never paid more than $8 for an upper lip wax or thread. on top of that, i’ve been really itchy and have had pimples/a rash in the area after getting the wax. this has never happened to me anywhere else. i won’t be coming back and others shouldn’t either

I would have to differ with the recent reviews! I have been coming here for over 5 yrs and this is the best I have seen the staff. I have been trying to get management to fix my account for months , the new management was able to fix my issue right away ! Very responsive and polite . The front desk was having a conversation with the whole lobby , and the atmosphere was positive, very friendly. My friend came with me and they convinced her with me to get her first wax , and she loved it! I love coming to this location, it is clean , and it seems as though they have become a lot more organized then I have seen. It is amazing to know we have such a great place women can go in this community and feel comfortable. Don’t let a few bad experiences deter you, I have tried almost all of the waxers since I have been here , and my experiences have been great , everyone has different technique but they are amazing and very fast .

I went with my friend for her to get waxed and… They. Keep. Telling. Us. To. Wait. Outside. Like chill, I’m not giving you COVID just by walking in… and why don’t they consider the vaccinated and mask-wearing people that want to wait inside? And why couldn’t I go with my friend inside? We came together. This place is way too strict with their guidelines, especially when Covid restrictions have passed. I understand not having too many people inside the store at once, social distancing, and wearing masks. But we were the only people there so why are they so bothered if I want to sit inside… the seats are laid out there for a reason.

I go here regularly and generally have had good experiences with most of the wax specialists. My issue is the front desk staff are very pushy with the packages. There’s always a looming price increase and they pressure you into buying more. It makes me not want to go back. I believe this is how most EWC’s conduct business and it is very unprofessional. (Also, EWC the generic responses you copy and paste to all complaints is also unprofessional)
