CRv3 batteries on sale at Walgreens
Sep 3, 2006
Here in the US, Walgreens drugstore has 2 two-pack of Duracell CRv3 batteries on sale for $9.99. Their normal price is $17.99 for two. Thought some of you could stock up for your DL/K100 needs.

and yet in canada, a pair of CRV3's still sell for $25-30. I'd love to try them sometime, but the price is keeping me away

Hm. I just drove down to the Walgreen's in my neighborhood. All CR V3s were regular priced, so I asked the 2 employees if there was a sale and if they might have forgot to put the sale tag on there, but both said there is no sale on those batteries.....

Nevermind. When I hear Walgreen's, I do normally not think of on-line shopping.

BestBuy has the normal 2GB sandisk cards for $45. $50 instant savings. At least in my area. I'm going to have to shoot RAW just to fill the dang thing up.

Thanks for the tip! I didn't want to buy 6 sets to get free shipping from their online store, so I called the nearest store and asked them if they had the sale and had them in stock. They said they did, so I went down and bought 3 sets.
The packages looked all bent up, though not opened; maybe careless shipping was the reason for this sale??

I just cleaned out my local walgreens 2pack duracell CRV3. they also have them in individual pack and you can buy 2 of them and they will price match the current sale at 2 batteries for the price of 1.
CRV3s give me the best performance, so i easily jumped at the chance to gobble this deal up!
happy shooting,
mark

I loaded up on the last sale
In reply to jsundin • Sep 5, 2006
They had BOGO on their individual packs. I bought enough for 4 complete changeouts. I figured it would be a few years before I used those up as I use NiMH at home. I only use the CRV3's for travel.
Nice deal, though. Thanks for posting.

I took a printout from the web site to my local walgreens and asked the manager if he would honor the price and he said yes. I grabbed four packs and whistled my way out the doors. I spend quite a bit at that store and the manager recognized me.
Here's the web page for the batteries
